Amigo’s story began in Cap Malheureux in 1985, when our late grandfather opened its doors as a neighbourhood bar built around generous hospitality and the simple pleasure of bringing people together.

Amigo becomes a restaurant
In 1997, Amigo evolved into a restaurant, becoming known for seafood, family dining and the warmth that has remained at the heart of the business ever since.

Amigo Bar & Bistro returns
In 2022, Kovishen Parasuraman reopened Amigo Bar & Bistro, bringing the original spirit of the venue back to the ground floor — with a new generation of cocktails, food, music and terrace evenings.

The third generation
Today, Amigo is carried forward by the third generation of the Parasuraman family — Kovishen, Kavinen and Yovissen. The format has evolved, but the purpose remains the same: good food, thoughtful drinks and hospitality that makes every guest feel like an amigo.
Upstairs on the first floor, Amigo Restaurant carries on the seafood and grill side of the family. Downstairs is the bistro and the bar. Two floors, one Amigo.
