Amigo’s story began in Cap Malheureux in 1985, when our late grandfather opened its doors as a neighbourhood bar built around generous hospitality and the simple pleasure of bringing people together.
In 1997, Amigo evolved into a restaurant, becoming known for seafood, family dining and the warmth that has remained at the heart of the business ever since.
In 2022, Kovishen Parasuraman reopened Amigo Bar & Bistro, bringing the original spirit of the venue back to the ground floor — with a new generation of cocktails, food, music and terrace evenings.
Today, Amigo is carried forward by the third generation of the Parasuraman family — Kovishen, Kavinen and Yovissen. The format has evolved, but the purpose remains the same: good food, thoughtful drinks and hospitality that makes every guest feel like an amigo.
